Sushi knife set dot com is a website that I (Tony B) have been eager to set up ever since I started to really get into sushi, and how it is made. You just can’t make good sushi without the right tools, don’t you agree?
I love sushi don’t you, and I bet you do too! I used to work for a UK sushi brand called YO! Sushi, if your from the UK you would have certainly heard of them. In fact even if not from the UK you may have had a taste of the YO! experience and the K10 moving sushi conveyor belts anyway, as just before I left they started to franchise the group all over thhe world.
I was a Training Manager for them for about a year or so before I started managing restaurants for them and whilst I was in that position I was also involved in the task of ordering sushi knife sets for the brand. That’s when I fell in love with sushi knives.
I had been a classically trained chef for many years before I got into hospitality training and working for YO! Sushi, so Chefs knives were something of a hobby of mine. However when I laid my eyes (and hands) on my first sushi knife set I just could not believe the beauty and quality that these knives.
Just like traditional kitchen knives Sushi knives come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and all have their particular use. from filleting your yellow tail tuna to cutting your maki, no two knives are used for the same job.
